BECOME A MEMBER

You can become a contributing member of the UN Staff Union by filling out the Staff Union Contribution Form and handing it in to our office in room L-0300 or emailing it to staffunionu@un.org.

We suggest a contribution of 1/400 of your net income – a small sum which allows the Union to conduct its business defending your future and expanding our programs to better serve your needs. Contributing members have rights to hold offices of the United Nations Staff Union. They are also invited annually to participate in a legal insurance program provided by the Hyatt Legal Plans, which offers wide range of legal services within the United States.

ATTEND A MEETING

Weekly Staff Council meetings are open to all UN Secretariat Staff. We encourage staff to attend Staff Council meetings to be better informed and to increase transparency.

Meetings are held most Thursdays during lunch-time from 1.15 to 2.30 p.m. Please contact your unit’s Staff Representatives for information about the weekly agenda and venue, or contact the union office directly if your unit does not have a representative.
