Dear Colleagues,
Over the years, the United Nations Staff Union has fielded questions from staff and fought for fair working conditions including conversion to permanent appointment, a solvent and protected pension fund, and an improved internal justice system.
In the recent past, we have fielded questions from staff concerned about the business practices and convenience of the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU).

It is not often that the United Nations Staff Union touts its achievements. The information regarding its achievements is usually reserved for the end-of-term reports of the President and the Staff Council. However, recent events require us to do so, to clarify the misleading information from the Administration.
Call for Nominations for Specialized Board of Examiners for 2010 G to P Competitive Exam

Staff-nominated members are needed to serve on the Specialized Boards of Examiners for the 2010 G-to-P competitive examinations.
The Boards are joint staff-management bodies that approve standardized criteria and methodologies for the grading of the examinations, and then perform the actual grading.
The nominees for the Specialized Boards should be international civil servants at the P-3 grade level or above and must have training and experience in the occupations for which they would like to serve as examiners.
